**Death of the Pastor's Wife led global shows while Beauty in Black held the US #2 spot**

Netflix's weekly rankings placed the Whisper Man at the top of the global movie list on Tuesday. The streaming platform also listed Death of the Pastor's Wife: season 1 as the leading global show. In the United States, Beauty in Black: season 3 occupied the second position among series.

The Whisper Man recorded more than 30 million views during the week, surpassing the milestone set for the top global film. This view total confirmed its dominance over competing titles. The figure reflected strong audience engagement across multiple regions.

Death of the Pastor's Wife: season 1 secured the number-one spot on the worldwide show chart. The series outperformed other international releases in the same period. Its placement highlighted continued interest in the drama's storyline.

Beauty in Black: season 3 held the #2 ranking among U.S. Netflix series. The series followed the leading title in the domestic list. Its position indicated solid viewership relative to other American offerings.

The rankings were compiled from Netflix's internal data for the week ending on Tuesday, 8 September. All positions reflect viewer counts reported by the platform. The charts provide a snapshot of current audience preferences across movies and series.

## Analysis

The Whisper Man's crossing of the 30 million-view threshold suggests a strong appetite for thriller content on the platform, potentially influencing future commissioning decisions. High viewership can also boost the title's visibility in subsequent recommendation algorithms, reinforcing its reach.

Death of the Pastor's Wife leading the global show chart indicates that serialized drama continues to attract a broad international audience. This performance may encourage producers to invest in similar narrative formats, given the demonstrated cross-border appeal.

Beauty in Black securing the second spot in the U.S. series ranking reflects solid domestic interest and may signal audience preference for genre-blending storytelling.
