United Russia emerged as the dominant force, winning every regional contest and increasing its representation in the legislature. At the same time, Yabloko did not achieve the required vote share to secure any seats.

The sweep of all regions was confirmed on Sunday 20 September as vote tallies closed in each constituency. No opposition party managed to capture a regional plurality.

The party's seat count rose as the final allocation was announced on Monday. The additional seats were recorded alongside the regional sweep confirmed the previous day. The increase reinforced United Russia's majority in the state Duma.

Yabloko's failure to clear the electoral threshold was also reported on Sunday 20 September. The party fell short of the percentage required for Duma representation.

Analysis

Winning every region gives United Russia control over all subnational political arenas, limiting the ability of regional actors to challenge central policy. This concentration of authority can streamline decision-making but also reduces the diversity of local perspectives in national discourse.

The gain in seats strengthens the party's legislative dominance, allowing it to pass bills without seeking support from smaller factions. With a larger caucus, the ruling party can more easily secure committee majorities and shape the agenda of the Duma.

Yabloko's exclusion from the Duma removes one of the few organized liberal voices from the parliamentary arena, narrowing the spectrum of opposition. The loss may hinder the representation of certain voter groups and could affect future attempts to mobilize dissent within the formal political system.
