Yashar topped the election while Likud secured between twenty and twenty-four seats, leaving the Knesset without a majority Coalition
On Wednesday, Israel held its Legislative election and the Yashar party emerged as the top vote-getter. The long-standing Likud party secured between twenty and twenty-four seats in the 120-member Knesset. Because no combination of parties reached the sixty-one seats needed for a governing majority, the new parliament was fragmented.
Yashar's party now holds the largest parliamentary grouping, though the exact seat count was not disclosed. Likud's representation landed in the twenty-to-twenty-four seat bracket, a reduction from its previous standing. The remaining seats are distributed among several smaller parties, none of which Together with Likud can achieve a majority.
